Shangri-La is one of the counties with the largest area and the lowest population in Yunnan Province. It means "the sun and moon in the heart" in Tibetan. Shangri-La City, formerly known as Zhongdian County, it has been renamed as Shangri-La County in 2002.

Day 1: Lijiang Sanyi International Airport (LJG) - InterContinental Lijiang Ancient Town Resort (Welcome Dinner)

Upon arrival at Lijiang Sanyi International Airport (LJG), meet and greet then transfer to the Hotel.

4 times arrival transfer provided: 10:00am - 1:00pm - 4:00pm - 6:00pm, please make sure you meet the driver on time at arrival hall because the pick-up team will leave airport on time. (If your arrival time differs from what we provide, please arrange your own transport to hotel)

The hotel’s check-in time is 2:00pm onward, but the hotel sometimes changes the time according to its own room status. If you cannot check in, you can store your luggage and check in again later.

7:00pm - Welcome Dinner at hotel. After that, free at leisure.

Day 2: Lijiang - Balagezong (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

After breakfast, proceed to Mystery of Dongba.

[Mystery of Dongba] Located in Lijiang City, Yulong Naxi Autonomous County, Baisha Town, Luomeile Canyon, with a total area of more than 800 acres. Mainly include a highland pasture, flower land, forest, and Naxi Village. You may experience to stand on the Glass Bridge and enjoy the view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. *include battery car*

Lunch at local restaurant - Naxi Cuisine.

After lunch, proceed to the real Shambhala - Balagezong Scenic Area. You will be able to view the scenic of The First Bend of Yangtze River and Haba Snow Mountain along the way.

[Balagezong Scenic Area] It is one of the "Three Parallel Rivers" of Yunnan protected area in Hongshan park scenic area, with a total area of 7600 hectares. There are basically 149 Tourist's Attractions, that has included 69 scenic areas, 4 buildings, 13 various cultural, and 31 shopping centers.

Dinner at local restaurant - Tibetan's Cuisine.

Transfer to hotel and check-in.

Overnight at Balagezong Tibetan Ecological Hotel

 

Day 3: Balagezong - Shangri-La (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

After breakfast, visit the millennium sacred tree - Millennial-old Bodhi Tree, millennial old village - Bala Village, the only "21 Praises of Tara" scripture hall - Zhuoma Lakang. Walking on the Echoing Wall and Cliffside Glass Walkway that roughly 1000 meters away from the cliff bottom, it the highest Glass Observation Deck in China, you may enjoy the panoramic view of the Shangri-La.

[Millenial-old Bodhi Tree] After thousand years, the tree has grown out with a human's hand shape, very unique, just under the Bodhi Tree. Forget all the worries, pray for yourself and those you care the most.

[Bala Village] A millennial old village, that their ranch will be migrate 3 times a year. It is the important Ranch in Bala Village, although it not completely preserved.

[Zhuoma Lakang] The temple is not huge, but with unique designs. It is where the statue, moral and pagoda of Atisa Dipomkara located presently.

Lunch at local restaurant - Yak Hot Pot.

Visit Shangri-La Canyon Walking Tour with Floating Experience.

[Shangri-La Canyon] The cliffs on both sides and bottom of the valley are in a "U" shape and are very steep, it is famous for its dangerousness, and it is unique for their linking and connecting gorges. 

[Dukezong Ancient City] The most well-preserved and biggest area of Tibetans in China, and it is the hub of the Ancient Tea Horse Road. Located in Yunnan Province, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Shangri-La City, an ancient city that has more than 1300 years history.

Dinner at local restaurant.

Transfer to hotel and check-in.

Day 4: Shangri-La - Lijiang (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

After breakfast, return to Lijiang, visit Old Town of Lijiang, one of the UNESCO Heritage Site, enjoy its scenery.

[Old Town of Lijiang] The street within the old town is build near to the mountain and river, paved with red breccia. It has various of local ethnics customs and entertainments, Naxi ancient music, Dongba ceremony, Divination culture, old town bar, and Naxi Torch Festival.

Lunch at local restaurant. 

Proceed to Jade Water Village, Enjoy the Rainbow Trout breeding base, Learn living fossil of Naxi Dongba, DIY T-shirt, visit Naxi Dongba folklore house and understand their culture.

Activity 1: Visit Jade Water Village

[Jade Water Village] The only breeding base in Yunnan that used the melted Snow water to breed freshwater salmon (Rainbow Trout), you may watch the fishes closely. After walking into the traditional ancient city of Naxi Village, understand the way they hunt, making wine, and their cultures.

Activity 2: The traditional way of blessing ceremony in Naxi Dongba 

You will be able to experience the worship and protective of Dongba culture towards the natural and water sources.

Activity 3: Understand the origin of Dongba wordings and its characteristics

Located in Jade Water Village Courtyard, understand the Dongba wordings and its characteristics, practice the easy wordings, and DIY your own creations.

Activity 4: You will received your own unique T-Shirt with your creative Dongba wordings.

Dinner at local restaurant.

Proceed back to hotel.

Day 5:  InterContinental Lijiang Ancient Town Resort -  Lijiang Sanyi International Airport (LJG) (Breakfast)

After breakfast, transfer to Lijiang Sanyi International Airport (LJG) according to your departure time.

4 times departure transfer provided: 6:00am - 9:00am - 12:00noon- 3:00pm, please make sure you are in the hotel lobby on time, because the team will leave on time.

Please check out before 12:00noon. In case of late check-out, please pay the additional fee at the front desk of the hotel.

The foregoing limitations of liability shall apply whether the alleged liability is based on contract, negligence, tort, strict liability or any other basis, even if the company or its affiliates or representatives have been advised of or should have known of the possibility of such losses and damages, and without regard to the success or effectiveness of other remedies.

Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for damages of any kind arising out of any failure or delay by us in performing any or all of our obligations contained herein or in respect of any product or service if the failure or delay is due to circumstances or cause beyond our reasonable control.

Cancellation Policy
In the event of a confirmed booking being cancelled, a cancellation charge will be levied. To cancel your reservation, you must send us an e-mail and indicating your Member ID, Travel Date, Booking ID and Product Name. The cancellation is valid when you received our acknowledgement via email.

- Cancellation 46 days before the travel date, cancellation charge at USD50
- Cancellation in-between 45 days to 30 days before the travel date, cancellation charge at USD100
- Cancellation less than 30 days before the travel date, 100% cancellation charge applies.

This cancellation policy is subject to rules and regulations applicable jurisdictions in which our travel supplier is based. In the event of conflict between the cancellation policy displayed here and cancellation terms in supplier booking terms, the more restrictive of the two terms will prevail.
 
Name Change Policies 
Name changes are generally not allowed on trips to avoid fraud, gaming and profiteering. We want to ensure that most of our travelers are members. If you wish to have a name change, please contact our customer service team for further assistance.

* Remark: We reserve the right to refuse a name change at our sole discretion. If allowed, name changes must be done 30 days or more before the start date of your trip and are subject to a fee up to USD50. Name changes within 30 days of the start date of your trip are not allowed.

Refund Policy
Refunds may be made by us in the following circumstances:
- the product or service fully paid for is not available and our suggested alternative is not acceptable to you; or
- you cancel your booking within the time stipulated in our travel voucher where refunds are available ( the “Cancellation Period”)
