Among them, Datong Yungang Grottoes, Pingyao Ancient City, and Wutai Mountain are world cultural heritages. Shanxi enjoys the reputation of "Chinese Ancient Architecture Art Museum". Wutai Mountain, one of the four great Buddhist holy sites, has temples clustered for thousands of years. The Hanging Temple of Hengshan Mountain, built in the Northern Wei Dynasty, hangs over the cliff and is famous for its thrills and peculiarities. The Jinci Temple in Taiyuan is a tourist attraction with various forms of ancient buildings. The ancient city of Pingyao is one of the three existing ancient cities in the country and is listed on the World Cultural Heritage List

Day 1: Datong Yungang Airport (DAT) - Datong Jindi Plaza (Welcome Dinner)

Upon arrival at Datong Yungang Airport (DAT), meet and greet then transfer to the Hotel.

4 times arrival transfer provided: 10:00am - 1:00pm - 4:00pm - 6:00pm, please make sure you meet the driver on time at arrival hall because the pick-up team will leave airport on time. (If your arrival time differs from what we provide, please arrange your own transport to hotel)

The hotel's check-in time is 2:00pm onward, but the hotel sometimes changes the time according to its own room status. If you cannot check in, you can store your luggage and check in again later.

7:00pm - Welcome Dinner at hotel. After that, free at leisure. Recommendation:you can go to the nearby Datong Department Store and Yunzhong Shopping Mall to taste food and shopping, at own arrangement.

Day 2: (9:30am - 6:00pm) Full Day Datong Tour (Breakfast/Lunch)

After breakfast, drive to Datong for sightseeing:

[Yungang Grottoes] was built in the era of Pingcheng (now Datong), the capital of the Northern Wei Dynasty. Unlike the Luoyang Longmen Grottoes excavated in the later period, the Yungang Grottoes not only have traditional Chinese artistic styles but also integrate the artistic characteristics of ancient India, the Western Regions, and the Central Plains. *Including battery car*

Lunch at local restaurant.

[Huayan Temple] was built in the eighth year of the Liao Dynasty (1062 AD), and has been rebuilt many times since then. The Huayan Temple in the Ming Dynasty was divided into two parts: the Upper Huayan Temple and the Lower Huayan Temple. The Upper Huayan Temple was centered on the Great Hall, and the Xia Huayan Temple was centered on the Sutra Hall. The two temples were adjacent to each other.

[Datong Ancient City Wall] The ancient city wall of Datong was built on the old soil city of the Yuangu city wall in the fifth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1372). It is quite famous throughout the country.

Transfer back to hotel.

Day 3: (8:30am - 8:00pm) Datong - Wutai Mountain (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

After breakfast, drive to Hengshan, visit Hanging Temple + boarding.

[Hanging Temple] Located between the cliffs of Cuiping Peak in Jinlongxia, Hengshan, it was built in the Northern Wei Dynasty and has a history of more than 1,500 years. It is an earlier and well-preserved high-altitude wooden cliff building in China.

Lunch at local restaurant.

[Mount Wutai] Foguang Temple, Xiantong Temple, Tayuan Temple, Summit Bodhisattva, Wanfo Pavilion.

Located in Wutai County, Xinzhou City, it is a famous summer resort surrounded by five peaks like platforms. In addition, it is also the dojo of Manjusri Bodhisattva, with many monasteries, ranking first among the four famous mountains of Chinese Buddhism. Here is the dojo where the Huangmiao (Tibetan Buddhism) and Qingmiao (Han Buddhism) coexist. You can see not only the monks from the Han Dynasty but also the lamas from the Tibetan tradition.

Overnight at Wutai Mountain Flower Hotel

 

Day 4: (8:30am - 8:00pm) Wutai Mountain - Pingyao (Breakfast/Lunch)

After breakfast, drive to Pingyao and visit the ancient city of Pingyao.

Lunch at local restaurant.

The streets, shops, and houses of the ancient city of Pingyao still maintain the traditional layout and style. It is one of the relatively well-preserved ancient cities in the country and is currently the only ancient county in the country that has successfully declared the entire ancient city as a world cultural heritage. Pingyao was once the financial center of China in the late Qing Dynasty. Walking into this once prosperous ancient city, you can feel the breath of Shanxi merchant culture everywhere.

Day 5: (9:30am - 3:00pm) Pingyao - Taiyuan (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

After breakfast, drive to Taiyuan to visit Jinci.

[Jinci] The sacred place is in the suburbs of Taiyuan, with convenient transportation. It is mainly scenic spots with mountain views and ancient buildings. The ancient buildings here have a relatively large age span. Among them, the Hall of the Holy Mother is a Jin Dynasty building, and the pillars and statues inside are very impressive. Pretty. It's worth a visit.

Lunch & Dinner at local restaurant.

Transfer to hotel for check in.

Overnight at Courtyard By Marriott Taiyuan Hotel

 

Day 6: Courtyard by Marriott Taiyuan Hotel  - Taiyuan Wusu International Airport (TYN) (Breakfast)

After breakfast, transfer to Taiyuan Wusu International Airport (TYN) according to your departure time.

4 times departure transfer provided: 6:00am - 9:00am - 12:00noon - 3:00pm, please make sure you are in the hotel lobby on time, because the team will leave on time.

Please check out before 12:00noon. In case of late check-out, please pay the additional fee at the front desk of the hotel.

Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for damages of any kind arising out of any failure or delay by us in performing any or all of our obligations contained herein or in respect of any product or service if the failure or delay is due to circumstances or cause beyond our reasonable control.

Cancellation Policy
In the event of a confirmed booking being cancelled, a cancellation charge will be levied. To cancel your reservation, you must send us an e-mail and indicating your Member ID, Travel Date, Booking ID and Product Name. The cancellation is valid when you received our acknowledgement via email.

- Cancellation 46 days before the travel date, cancellation charge at USD50
- Cancellation in-between 45 days to 30 days before the travel date, cancellation charge at USD100
- Cancellation less than 30 days before the travel date, 100% cancellation charge applies.

This cancellation policy is subject to rules and regulations applicable jurisdictions in which our travel supplier is based. In the event of conflict between the cancellation policy displayed here and cancellation terms in supplier booking terms, the more restrictive of the two terms will prevail.
 
Name Change Policies 
Name changes are generally not allowed on trips to avoid fraud, gaming and profiteering. We want to ensure that most of our travelers are members. If you wish to have a name change, please contact our customer service team for further assistance.

* Remark: We reserve the right to refuse a name change at our sole discretion. If allowed, name changes must be done 30 days or more before the start date of your trip and are subject to a fee up to USD50. Name changes within 30 days of the start date of your trip are not allowed.

Refund Policy
Refunds may be made by us in the following circumstances:
- the product or service fully paid for is not available and our suggested alternative is not acceptable to you; or
- you cancel your booking within the time stipulated in our travel voucher where refunds are available ( the “Cancellation Period”)
